One of the advantages of being an Entrepreneur is that you get to travel the world while working and my recent trip took me to the beautiful St Tropez, France. Midway Labs USA sponsored the Athina Onassis Horse Show, the world’s most prestige and classic horse jumping event amongst other international brands such as Armani and Longines.
I only spent 5 days in St Tropez, but it was enough for me to go to the best places in this charming city. I actually worked a lot on this trip and didn’t even got the chance to go to the beach, so I definitely look forward to come back! Below is a list of The Best Things To Do in St Tropez
Cat Colle’s Top Things To Do In St Tropez
1 -Best Things To Do in St Tropez – Explore the City Center
St Tropez has a beautiful villa center with many stores, restaurants and bars all within walking distance! This beautiful city has a main area called Place De Lices. Place de Lices square is surrounded by several restaurants. Nightlife is also BIG in St Tropez, so every restaurant is usually open till very late.
If you are looking to stay within walking distance of everything then your best option is the Hotel De Paris, centrally located and with first class accommodations.
2 – Best Things To Do in St Tropez – Vineyards
Yes, St Tropez makes their own wine. Being there reminded me a lot of Nappa Valley because of all the mountains and the city rural landscape. If you are looking for a mellow day make sure to stop by a winery. St Tropez has several Chateaus that offer wine tasting and tours.
The Hotel where I stayed was very close to the vineyards, it’s the 5 Star Hotel La Tartane Saint Amour, close to the wineries, up in the mountains at a more calm & private region of St Tropez.
3 – BestThings To Do in St Tropez – Drinks & Dinner
St Tropez food is absolutely amazing and fresh. A spot that I fell in Love with is the Café inside the Ermitage Hotel , people come for drinks and snacks to watch the Sunset right before dinner.
For Dinner you cannot go wrong with Villa Romana! Villa Romana has a great ambiance and all the waiters are dressed in costumes. The music is loud and very eclectic, from house music to old 80’s this restaurant is made for a great time with friends. At some point of the night they have random fashion shows in the middle of the restaurant and out of nowhere you have people dancing on top of the tables. It’s a big party every night and very good for birthdays! PS. It is not recommended to bring children.
If you want a more mellow and romantic night I recommend the Le Dit Vin .This beautiful restaurant is located at the center of Saint Tropez close to other bars and restaurants. Le Dit Vin has a Portuguese chef that is absolutely incredible and he brings in Portuguese cuisine to the South Of France. This Restaurant is charming with it’s several stairs and floors. The best floor is the upper level where you can see the night sky as the ceiling has a big opening area.
A great spot for Lunch or Dinner is the Dior De Lices, Dior the fashion brand has an amazing restaurant in St Tropez, with a 3 Star Michellin Chef leading the kitchen.
4 -Best Things To Do in St Tropez – Go to the Beach
French Riviera along the Mediterranean sea is absolutely breathtaking and St Tropez has the best beaches. The most famous beach in St Tropez is Plage De Pampelonne.
St Tropez offers several private beach clubs such as Club 55 famous for celebrity sightseeing such as Kate Moss, Beyonce and Bono. But make sure to make your reservations in advance as this place gets very full in the summer time.
Other options for mixing drinks, lunch and beach are Nikki Beach which is a bit further from the city center, in the villa of Ramatuelle. By the City Center you have Bagatelle Beach, closer to Hotel De Paris and Byblos.
5 – Best Things To Do In St Tropez – NightLife
Nightlife in St Tropez is big, people start going out to dinner at 10pm. A lot of restaurants do turn into nightclubs after certain times. Place de Lices area within the City Center has several options for bars and nightclubs, but the most famous is the Les Caves Du Roy located inside the renowned hotel BYBLOS.
There’s still so much more to do in St Tropez, such as Museums and Historical Sights! I’m really looking forward to coming back.
